This fashion designer created every look
for her ‘In the Mood for Love’-inspired Vietnamese wedding
“Our wedding invitations were printed on traditional handmade Vietnamese Dzó paper and our guests received handcrafted embroidered hemp bags—a traditional art form of the H’mông ethnic group. Our wedding favours were custom decks of cards, designed in collaboration with graphic designer, Harry and the brilliant artist Đức Lương, who designed a turtle-owl hybrid illustration symbolising our personalities and a name we have always called each other – ‘Turtowl.’ The design also incorporated symbols representing our families’ heritage: the Macedonian sun for Josh’s father, a sunflower for his mother’s Ukrainian roots, and the sun from the Nguyễn dynasty to honour my Vietnamese heritage.”
